Lata Medang is a waterfall at Kampung Pertak, cascading down from a huge drop of 60 meters across two tiers in a remote region of hilly rainforest off Kuala Kubu Bharu. Access is by using the initial trail to Bukit Kutu, but taking the left fork (instead of right) after the last bridge, then a right at the next main fork, and finally left which heads all the way to Medang.
The trail gradually becomes a steep climb until it hits Lubuk Mecu, which is a short distance downstream from the main falls. Follow a trail left of the pool to reach the bottom tier of Medang, and another scramble at left to reach the top for a view of the valley. A single journey should take between one to two hours depending on speed.
