Sungai Pertak

Fraser's Hill

Sungai Pertak is a river that flows along an Orang Asli village into Sungai Selangor Dam. A popular fishing and camping spot for weekend warriors and families coming from Kuala Lumpur, 4WD enthusiasts and dirt bikers also tear along the many trails that cross this river. The river flows into deep pools with small cascades in between, the largest section a short distance away from the village.

The river is also an entry point for climbing Bukit Kutu, an abandoned colonial hill station located on top a 1000 meter high mountain peak. Many large waterfalls, such as Lata Medang, are hidden in the area that require a duration of jungle trekking to reach. This riverside tourist attraction can be accessed by turning into Kampung Pertak along the main road, then following a gravel road all the way to its end.
